Lebowski faces league leader F.S. United

Lebowski FC will have a steep hill to climb tonight in its attempt to bounce back from an unexpected defeat to FS Blue Lighting last Tuesday. The Achievers will face no one else than the mighty F.S. United, which is the current league leader and beat Code Blue by an astounding score of 12 x 0 in the last round. The game will start at 7:45 pm at the Borchard Community Park. Lebowski, that played its two games on the West Pitch, this time will step onto the East one.

No less than four Lebowski players were injured in the game against FS Blue Lighting. The Vanecko brothers, John and Todd, suffered the most serious wounds will be sidelined for several weeks: John broke a rib, and Todd has a seriously sprained left ankle. Boris "Die Mauer" Jankowski and Bart Sullivan, who were also banged up in that event, were cleared by Dr. Dent to resume activities and will play tonight. The team will also have the reinforcements of Javier and Cesar - unable to play last week due to work commitments. On the other hand, the Lebowski defense will have the absence of Ricardo and Ogo, out in a business trip to Bora Bora.

No matter the result - nor the number of players that end at the emergency room of the Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center - the green-and-yellow nation is invited to congregate at Magoo's after the match. Magoo's, the finest sports bar in Conejo Valley, is located at 722 Wendy Drive, near the 101 overpass.

The round is completed by three other games. At 6:45 pm powerhouse CSC 76 United is expected to onslaught Mac Attack on the East Pitch. At the same time, struggling Code Blue, that conceded 23 goals in two games, will duck against Amgen Eagles - the surprise of the season. Finally, the two co-ed teams of the league, RockStarz and FS Blue Lighting, have a face-off at 7:45 pm.
