"Die Mauer" is back

Boris and Little Lebowski Urban Achiever Ethan

After being absent in the last two rounds, portentous defender Boris Jankowski will be back to the Lebowski FC roster for tonight's game versus RockStarz. The green-and-yellow team faces the league's best co-ed team this Tuesday, with kick-off time scheduled for 19h45.

Boris got injured in the warm-up before the game against FS Blue Lighting on September 15th, when he hyperextended the right leg while attempting his trademark "Borischnikov" high kick. That was the first time Boris did such a thing since Willy Brandt was the Chancellor of West Germany. The resulting groin injury was serious enough that Boris left the field even before the start of the game - coincidentally, just in time for him to catch a re-run of Desperate Housewives.

Known by Lebowski supporters as "Die Mauer" for blocking opponents as well as the Berlin Wall did back in the day, Boris gave an exclusive interview to this blog. "After a few days I was already better, but then the move to our new place came up and I begun to feel pain again after working on that", he explained. "This made me miss last week game's too. It sucked being out of the team, but what you guys did was amazing!"

Now fully recovered, Boris can't wait to face RockStarz - last season's runner-ups and the only team to beat CSC 76 Celtics: "I'm looking forward to the game. This will be great - see everybody on Tuesday."
